900 Global has doubled the ante - Get your share of the Bounty today. - Bounty Hunter

Pin to PAP(5 1/8" over 1/8" up) - 5 1/2" above ring finger
Mass Bias Position - 4" from PAP - right of thumb
CG Placement - 1" right of center and 1" above mid line
Balance Hole - none

Surface Preparation - Out of Box (4000 Grit Abralon)

What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
After looking at the Bounty Hunter and reading a little about it I went ahead and drilled this to HOOK. The ball just has that look like it is going to cover every square inch of the lane and have more left over
when it is done.

This layout usually optimizes the amount of length I can get out of a stronger ball like this leaving me with enough energy to make the ball really turn the corner hard.

What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
OMG!! I thought the original Bounty hooked - The Bounty Hunter literally runs laps around my Bounty. Everything I thought this ball would do, it did and more. Sometimes when you get these super aggressive balls you get all this reaction but no hit because the ball is just done by the time it gets to the pocket. Not the case here, the Bounty Hunter seemed to maintain plenty of energy even with the extremely strong ball motion it has.

Obviously this ball is not meant to be thrown on every lane condition and as we saw more friction early, the ball rolled earlier. But on a fresh shot the Bounty Hunter got through the heads with ease and oil was no match for it.
We could hook this ball from basically everywhere on the lane and just watch in awe as it reacted and hit as hard as some of the best balls on the market.

I think 900 Global is a company to watch and throw if you get the chance.

900 Global has been on a fantastic run of high performing balls, and the new Bounty hunter is no exception.

Mass Bias Position - 1" left of Center Line, 7" from PAP
Balance Hole - None

Surface Preparation - Left at Box Finish

What I Was Looking For In This Layout: We heard that the Bounty Hunter was supposed to be stronger than the original Bounty, so I decided to use a similar layout on this ball. This layout normally gives me great midlane reaction with a strong backend finish.

What I Ended Up With In This Ball Layout:
The Bounty Hunter gives me a great look midlane that I don't very much of in my bag. Watching this ball dig into the lane was fun to watch. When it reached the break point, the Bounty Hunter made a strong transition and movement towards the pocket. Just like the rest of the 900 Global balls I've tested, continuation through the pocket was no issue at all as this just drives through the pocket.

I started with the Bounty Hunter standing 25 on the approach and getting the ball to around 10 down lane at the break point. This layout gives me a predictable and consistent read on the back end. I had hold room when I missed my mark in and area to the right when I missed right. From both of these positions on the lane, the ball recovered very well and carried a high percentage of the time.

I would highly recommend that if you're bowling on oiled lane conditions, you rare going to want this ball and use it with the out of the box surface. For more length or a more angular look to the pocket, I would recommend smoothing the surface out to either 2000 or 4000 grit and using a light polish.

900 Global has created another great piece to their arsenal with the Bounty Hunter. It also doesn't hurt to get rewarded for shooting 300. Who wouldn't want a share of the $50,000 Bounty?

I was up in the air with a few balls after doing reviews on this site and using the compare function. My pro shop was no help, he seemed very anti-internet and anti-900Global. I noticed that EVERY ball he recommended he happened to have in stock and he didn't have much. I talked to him for an hour waiting for him to ask me to go out on the lanes so I could throw. He never did. I finally brought it up and he said he couldn't leave the shop and that it didn't matter that much.

I went to bowlingball.com, they suggested I have a shop watch me throw. After I explained my problem they spent 15 minutes with me on the phone and said that was the best they could do without see me bowl. They offered to view videos if I sent them but I wanted a ball asap.

I finally decided on the Bounty Hunter. Thank you bowlingball.com. My second night out I had the first 10, I choked on the 11th but the feeling knowing that I could win a few extra bucks was fun and I think kept me more focused. I had never had more than the front 8.

Great ball and great service, very very pleased, thank you so much.

Note: bowlingball.com also drilled the ball and it feels great, fast turn around time, faster than my "previous" pro shop.

Heard about this through a guy that works in a proshop near me and said he knew a few people who were rolling this and it looked good. ended up getting it first week of January

Layout: pin under ring finger, 4 1/2 inches Pin to PAP, 4 inches CG-PAP and 6 inches MB-PAP

What I Needed: a ball for heavier/thicker oil that i could play inside with and would keep enough energy to carry everything when it hit the pins.

What It Does: the things i like most about is that it goes through the first 30ft of the lane pretty smoothly and as it exits the oil it doesnt break very sharply but isnt as slow as an arching ball. for me, right handed playing from 2nd arrow on the left out to about 8 board on a THS the shape is predictable and when the lanes dry alittle it doesnt just switch to a flipping motion leaving u splits, breaks through the headpin cleanly. On fresh oil it has good control, with a pronounced and very predictable turn to the pocket

Compared To My Other Balls:
Fury; same layout and for me the fury plays with a sharper break point/greater entry angle it feels like. so i end up throwing it out more making it easier to miss my target. also i think the hitting power of the Bounty Hunter is slightly greater

Twisted Fury; the twisted fury's ball motion is arched more and tends to need a drier spot on the lane to get the break shape i favor. in fresh oil u can see it slide longer than the Bounty Hunter and plays a more direct line to the pocket. when lined up at around the 3rd arrow from the left and throwing to the 8th board it hits well.

Reign of Fire; i got this ball about a month and a half later ( 2 weeks ago ) and personally i find it a stronger ball than the Bounty Hunter. i think the coverstock simply eats oil and has good traction. u need little hand for u to keep its strong motion. rolls clean down the lane with a smooth but swift break point which keeps it readable but very strong. only problem u might have is consistancy with the hand u put on the ball because with too much it can cut too soon pretty easily or slide slightly too much with too little hand. but with good consistancy i have to say this is the better ball

My Bowling So Far: initially inserts were slightly small, so got those replaced and thumbhole opened up some and that same day shot a 300 on my 7th game of the day. two days after the perfect game in practice, went out to practice again and had a 761 series (255, 249, 257) so once this ball fits well i think the ball motion is has makes it easy for u to read and make adjustments off of and keeps its power to give you higher scores

this has been a lengthy review but hopefully its details will help you make a good decision. Good luck and High scores haha

I like this ball. Originally I bought it and a Break Point together with the intention of using the Break Point for my dryer lane condition and the Bounty Hunter for my wet lane condition ball. We drilled this to go long and then hook in the back end. After using both, I actually use the Break Point as my 'go to' ball, although this ball does not disappoint.

I\'m not a pro-shop owner or employee; just a regular average bowler. Just got the Bounty Hunter yesterday and rolled a practice triple before league play and bowled a fantastic (for me) 670 on heavy oil. Ball goes long and breaks into pocket with no mercy; at least the way I throw it. Have to be careful not to let up or else the ball will go high or cross over. I give this ball a 10 if there is a scale to peg it to.

Amazing bowling ball. I had this thing layed out pin over ring finger, cg at about 55 degrees, mass bias pretty much parallel to cg and pin. Out of the box shot 298, damn I wish I could have had part of the bounty, tugged it just a little on the last shot and it jumped at about 54 and a half feet. Had to put it away after Game 1 though, this thing is a BEAST with box surface. I'm not going to alter it, it will definitely be a tournament shot ball. I'd recommend this ball to anyone without question.

  • 1. Bowlers Ball Speed
  • 2. Bowler Rev Rate
  • 3. Bowlers Axis Angle of Rotation
  • Chose the number below in each category that best describes your bowling style.
  • Step 1:
  • Ball Speed 1 = slower, 2 = average, 3 = faster
  • Ball rev Rate (RMPs) 1 = cranker (18 or more), 2 = tweener (13-17), 3 = stroker (12 or less)
  • Axis angle Rotation (side roll) select from one, two, or three

  • Step 2: Total your numbers up from ball speed, rev rate, and axis rotation. Use that number to select your drilling pattern.
  • Step 3: Layout must be based on your Positive Axis Point, illustrations are all based off a 5-1/2 over PAP.
  • Step 3: Choose your lane condition.
  • Step 4: Adjust surface.
